...and I gotta say: tropical weather disasters are WAY worse than anything cold- or snow-related I've experienced. Did you know that volcanic ash becomes as sturdy as concrete, as quickly as you can microwave popcorn, if you just add water? I didn't either!

So in 2021, I decided to wait out the pandemic in Barbados. In April, we caught ashfall from an erupting volcano nearby, and then got hit by a hurricane in July. To that point, the worst weather systems I'd experienced were blizzards and extreme cold....

Both. An actual homicide took place in the parking lot in...2012, I think? And ever since - Murder Walgreens. But the store itself is all off - very, VERY large. Lots of lighting issues. Everything is locked up, except for the booze. Awful store.

There are 2 Walgreens near me and one of them is known as the "Murder Walgreens." Not great when 50% of the Walgreens in my area are associated with homicide and bodily harm.
