Psychomania, a 1973 mash up of Easy Rider and Blood On Satan’s Claw. And yes, it’s a bonkers as it sounds. Plus it has a killer soundtrack and the funniest suicide montage ever.

One of my favourite films of all time is Miami Connection. Because I find it actually pretty wholesome. At its core it is a story of found family and the desire to make the world better for everyone. And I think that’s lovely. And it has fights with cocaine dealing bikers who are also ninjas.

I got to watch this at the Forbidden Worlds Film Festival last weekend (along with Time Cop and Capricorn One) on an IMAX screen. It’s really good. It doesn’t feel like we get this kind of rough edged blue collar sci-fi anymore but I usually prefer it over the hyper sleek stuff that dominates today
