That’s the problem with incumbents at debates. The President has a really difficult job and schedule, and he’s 81. Add to the fact that most of what he said at the debate was perfectly fine, where Trump lied repeatedly and said horrendous shit. Would be nice if it was reported accurately.

SCOTUS wrote the decision to specifically provide this out for Trump. They didn’t define official vs unofficial, so now all of the courts have determine it, which allows all of the existing cases to grind to a halt. They knew what they were doing.

This is the hole that the opinion left open, intentionally. They’re going to exploit it for all it’s worth, since official/unofficial acts were not clarified, so it can be anything that they want at this point. That’s why we’ll never see Jan 6 case proceed.

I would write / call my elected representatives everyday to try and change their mind. I would actively work for their competitor who would work to remove this sign/ban if they weren't already doing so. I would contact mayors, newspapers, anyone and bug the shit out of them to get attention on it.

Tell me that you haven't heard/read the Project 2025 project without telling me that you haven't heard/read the Project 2025 project. And, SCOTUS just handed Trump a blank cheque to do it, and has dismantled the administrative state that was the backstop during his first term.

Definitely do not disagree about the racist/sexist reality. That exists for most of the other dem options right now, except for maybe Newsom, but I still think he's riskier than Harris against Trump.

I think they'll do this for pretty much any candidate though. Harris is the only one that has appeared on a national ticket and won, and specifically beat Trump in the past. I don't think it's wise to completely dismiss the reality of how hard that is to do.

This is terrible news. I can't imagine a worse time for one of our best hitters and fielders to get injured. Hopefully Vladdy is back soon, since yesterday's game against the Astros clearly shows how much him and IKF are needed in the line-up right now.
