One of the more frustrating refrains in arguments about Israel's war crimes in Gaza is the admission that Netanyahu is a psychopath, but then allowing that understanding to exist alongside the belief that Israel is earnestly defending itself from Hamas with its actions.

The people saying "try being gay in Gaza" as a retort to leftists calling for ceasefire don't seem to realize that it's a *more* principled position than their own. Even homophobes shouldn't be indiscriminately murdered!

it's cool how Netanyahu is on record saying they have to prop up Hamas to undermine Fatah, and Hamas's funding comes mostly from gulf oil monarchies, and the American press looks at this situation and decides the ultimate responsibility for Hamas's terrorism lies with American College Students
