Hey German #rstats & train users:
I discovered yesterday that the new interface on bahn.de uses a pretty open API. So naturally, I wrote a quick R wrapper package.

I was indeed thinking of data access. I agree that Meta is not the worst actor, but IMO the platform is terrible in terms of algorithm accountability and related data access.
But I reckon they have been exploring interesting collaborative structures with academics and I hope they will continue!

I'm curious about why you think Threads will have open access ? (Not really the usual vibes at Meta)

I don't want to overstate causality here, but FWIW, the fraction of your jokes I understand is very funny.
DAG below suggests you may wanna start working on the complexity first. Admittedly, my observations are biased and you should get more complex minds involved.

My bad, once again, I failed to capture your jokes 🫣

Thx for the literature pointer.
For an audit study, I recently looked for a proper fundamental definition of bias (limited my search to the CS literature). All I could find was "homemade" and half-baked defs... Therefore, I very much look forward to reading those papers!

Not really. I was simply playing around with the atproto library and it's fairly easy to set up a stream capturing all the new events: pypi.org/project/atpr...
