Maybe if people start to understand how nasty air on planes can be during boarding, the “elite” will decide they actually want to wait to board last so they don’t have to breathe so much *rebreathed*, unventilated air.

The GOP claims to care so much about the deficit that they’ll shut down the government unless they get massive cuts to social safety nets. Meanwhile, they’re demanding an extension to the Trump tax cuts — which would add $3.5 trillion to the deficit. Funny how that works.

Here's the latest variant picture for the United States. The EG.5.* "Eris" variant (41%) has been dominant, and is still growing. An early read on the recent growth of BA.2.86.1 "Pirola" gives it a growth advantage of 15% per day over EG.5.*, which predicts a crossover in a couple of weeks. 🧵

The government oversold the benefits of the vaccines so you'd go back to normal and do all the maskless stuff that stimulates the economy. Vaccines don't stop you from getting Covid/ Long Covid, and Covid is nothing like the flu. The only way to stay safe right now is to wear a mask (N95/KN95).
