But I have had other people get really sad or angry with me for not being more active as a bud. It’s not intentional. It’s gotten worse since I had a child too. I just get lost in my life and i forget to call. I don’t reach out enough. I get why it comes off as selfish. Maybe it is. I’m just sleepy

I have run into so many problems with people over the years who expect more attention. And like it’s probably a normal expectation? But my best friend I have had since I was in 7th grade I see around 4-5 per year and she lives only an hour away. Nobody is ever mad about it. We are both like this.

Right! I’ve also given this sort of message to friends when I’ve been in a work hole or something. Once I messaged someone I (unfortunately) was fixated on for a few years and they messaged me back with two words. Nice enough but I’ll never DM them again. I’ve never said anything back to this guy!
