I can't pretend it's super "new reader friendly." It's not. But Volume One is available in trade now everywhere and it's oversized and spectacular and gorgeous and nominated for an Eisner. So just read them both. Problem solved! ;D

It’s hard to overstate what a victory for democracy it is that in France the far right lost to both the center and the left. working together to reject these fascists is key if America does the right thing we can, and will dismantle the worldwide fascist movement and destroy any chance they have had

BoP continues to be wonderful! I'm personally wowed by bringing up Velvet Tiger, who I first encountered in the 90s Hawk & Dove series. AND it spurs lots of good questions about this story. Just delightful!

I was trade waiting on Birds of Prey by @kellythompson.bsky.social, but I read the first issue and then listened to the @wordballoon.bsky.social interview and went back and picked the rest up and binged it. It’s fantastic. The characters and dynamics are fun and amazing! It’s on the pull list now!
