Just learned the Spanish version of "righty tighty, lefty loosey" translates as "the right oppresses, the left liberates" and holy shit that goes hard.

Apologies to the southpaws, but for most of us: The right hand is the dominant hand -- the strong hand. The left is the coordinate hand -- the helping hand.

I can’t find my note but I was working on a poem along the lines of “they say you can’t use the master’s tools to dismantle his house/But a screwdriver can turn left instead of right”

Most helpful advice I have ever received from a bf...except ofc, explaining NFL flags on the play. Still a little hazy on those!

Sorry for the Facebook video, but yes!, this is a clip from Bricomania, a DYI Spanish TV show where the host uses that sentence to explain how to memorize the tap directions. (The ending of the clip is modified/improved)

Spaniard here: I can tell you that this expression is not really that widespread in the country. I've been to a good bunch of places in Spain, lived in several regions and never heard of it. And it's not "la derecha oprime" but more "la derecha aprieta" which is similar but slightly different
