George W Bush is unquestionably the American with the most deadly impact on humanity of any one in my lifetime.
I find his even mild rehabilitation to be morally abhorrent.
Those who compare Bush favorably to Trump are judging their respective character, rather than the effects of their policies. No president has ever had less character than Trump.

We must never forget that evangelical George W. Bush drove more Christians practicing ancient rites (Chaldean, Nestorian, etc.) out of their homelands in the Mideast than any other leader hitherto.
I do believe in redemption, but that redemption has to come with effort involved. Merely existing beyond the memory of their terrible acts or policies absolutely do not make one redeemed.

I've always had a deep hatred for Bush. I was young back in 2001, and I knew the dude was a horrible human. My parents were never political, but I straight up instinctually knew that he's fucking evil.

im sitting here wondering if reagan's impact killed more people than bush. w saw a lot more people die violently, but reagan may have caused a larger net loss of life measured in days and years than the warmonger
Not to say hes innocent, but I pretty much believe that bush was a frat boy that got in way over his head and was easily manipulated by real evil like dick cheney. bush has a special place in hell but isnt the sole evil of his administration and i dont want anyone to forget that either.
Oh but in his memoir he said he felt real bad about all those hundreds of thousands of deaths he was responsible for, so it's all good now. We dont need to try him at the Hague for crimes against humanity or anything like that! /s

Unless you're rather younger than me, I'd argue that it's Saint Ronnie. He's done more to pave the way for the GOP's transition from Nixon to the Bushes to... whatever the hell kind of abomination it's become today than anyone else by far. He's directly responsible for all of it.
"History will judge them" is also weak, self-soothing bullshit for us liberal/thinker-types.
