I feel insane saying this but I think I have summertime SAD(ness). I am slowly realizing that when it's cold, going outside is an adventure and I'm so awake and alive. The sound of rain and dark stormy weather is my fav thing. But bc it's literally 40c out I don't wanna go anywhere or do anything

My faves usually end up covering multiple of the initial criteria (which is how they got chosen in the first place I think). I'm pretty platform agnostic and use webtoons and websites both, will usually try to do what seems best for the artist.

I will usually investigate if it has one of: amazing/unique art, interesting pitch, hot lesbians/trans people, massive blocks of philosophical text. If the title is like, 7x returned girl dies eating steak, I'm not touching it without a personal recommendation.

I would've owned adventure time on DVD 20 years ago. Instead I watch or rewatch it (and whatever else) on streaming. The money is still being made, just through a different mechanism where taking a cut before the artists is easier.

When you have to write around the goblins, elves, lack of school diversity, most powerful spell being just a laser that kills u, etc I can't imagine it leaves a lot of fertile ground behind. If I was a writer I wouldn't wanna touch this heap of garbage with a set of optical tweezers from a km away.
