Yes, I helped create the concept of spaghetti westerns. Now I'm calling you in the biggest cellphone anyone's ever scene. And yes, thank you for my gold bracelet, it's totally sweet. Anyway, I've gotta act like Kurt Russel is escaping from New York right now. Call you later. Bye!

Just walked past a parked car, and noticed it had about 15-20 CD's (in the jewel cases) sitting in the center counsel. And I gotta admit, I kinda admire it. Driving around, listening to CD's. Keeping it old school, with your driving around tunes.

My cybertruck keeps making this weird noise that sounds like everyone laughing at me. It’s louder when the windows are down, if that helps.

My kid told me she had a weird dream last night where she was on a school field trip, and everyone got to bring one guest and for some reason she brought an evil demon. And I guess what I'm trying to say is that the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree.

Thank you! She's a tough lady, and it wasn't anything overly worrisome. Just something that needed to be addressed.

I can think of several people who were part of our friend group in my early life that made no sense to hang out with. But they were always there.

My mom was recently hospitalized (she's okay). I was there several hours the first night, and some alarm kept going off, depending on how she positioned her IV. The nurse (who was great) showed me how to shut it off, because it kept happening. Didn't make me feel great about the system.

I live in a modest bungalow that has a small dining room. The credenza in the dining room contains our candy drawer. There is no route in the house that requires you to pass through the dining room. And yet, I pass through it several times a day.

I garbage picked an old Underwood a couple years ago. Just needed a decent cleaning. Bought new ribbons off the shelf at Staples.

My mom was a manufacturer's rep back in the 80's for a company that sold typewriters and the very first word processors. We always had demo models around. I was probably the only 5th grader in my class doing his homework on an IBM Selectric II.

Woodworker, but I did do the sourdough thing (pre-COVID). Didn't do the synthesiser thing, but sure did spend a lot of time farting around with DIY audio.

That moment when the hospital doors close behind you, and you are just standing there, holding a baby in a carrier is one of the most intense experiences. So is the drive home. What a trip.

In the early 90's, he hosted an informercial for some sort of pan or something. His cohost was a woman named Joan (we were pretty high, so that detail might be wrong). At one point, he delivers the line "Joan, do I smell fajitas?" like only he could. We still repeat it to this day.

I know almost nothing about Nohm Chomsky. And I'm wondering if that makes me the weirdo, or are all these people who seem to know a lot about him the weirdos? I honestly can't tell. Like, over the years I've heard of him as a linguist. But that doesn't really help me at all.

Years ago, I referred to a 22 oz beer as a "tallboy". A buddy of mine who has a genuine way with words corrected me. He said tall boys are 16 oz. "What you're dealing with there is a worker." I don't know where he got it from, but it's what I call the truly big boys now.

We also did that last year. And I was just thinking the same thing as I looked out one of them. We also had to replace our furnace over the winter, and decided to do the old AC unit at the same time. Currently very happy with both upgrades.

Growing up, we displayed our VHS collection on shelves in our living room. Almost everyone did. It was a personal library you were proud of. I think a big part of the reason records have resurged is for the same reason. And people have always displayed their books.

As for JKR, I can't imagine a world were time moves backward, and we all decide she was right all along. The far more likely outcome, in my opinion, is that she will have destroyed her legacy, because she couldn't let go of her bigotry.

I fully believe trans people are being honest about who they are. And I support anyone who is just trying to get through this life as best they can. I don't feel the need to get in their way.
