What I just realized is the dumb name for that manifesto is probably keying off of the 1619 Project.
Now, I am not gonna dig too deep into when it was announced, published, or what because it just irritates me more if the name is just flopping the naming of Hannah-Jones' work.
And well past time to stop making excuses for them. His supporters are not victims, deluded, or ignorant. The electeds aren’t afraid of trump or the base. He doesn’t need kompromat to keep them in line. They follow him because they agree with him. They know what he’s doing—it’s what they want.
I think this is what finally convinced me that some sort of break is likely. We really don't share core values and we are not *united* in any meaningful sense.
That was shockingly evident when Trump openly invited foreign interference in the election and most GOP voters agreed.
It is absolutely *vital* that people understand that for the overwhelming majority of GOP voters "personal well-being" is secondary (at best) to making sure that the people they think should be on the bottom *remain so.* They *need* to see The Other doing worse, even if it hurts them too.
