At least banning RH shows a comprehension of the material, a (twisted) interpretation of communism, and a (specious) connection between them. This parent didn’t bother to listen to an entire sentence.

We did a little display of that at our library, next to other attempted and/or successful book bans throughout history. The Green Feather student protest got investigated by the FBI, who apparently view bad Prince John as the hero of the story.

There was a proposal to ban Robin Hood from Indiana schools in 1953 during the McCarthy era, but it was not enacted.
The proposal was met with opposition and the book remained available in schools.

In undergrad, I took a class on Amer transcendental writers. 1 girl practically ruined the whole course becoz every single class she would not stop going on & on & ON about how transcendentalists were just wrong, as out of accord with her Xn beliefs. So, even when they know, they are unbearable.
