Kalief Browder was held for 3 years at Rikers when at 16 he was charged with stealing a backpack (trial delayed repeatedly, bogus charges eventually dropped) and his family couldn't afford the $3000 bail. Kalief committed suicide at 22 after telling the world he was not coping well.

This is awful and outrageous. It shows how broken the US system is, when thousands of poor people, especially BIack Americans, are incarcerated disproportionately & can’t afford legal fees, while a white conman rapist gets his bail reduced. The entire Trump crime family should be tried & jailed

In Virginia long ago I was held on $500 bail for driving on a suspended license. Get several dozen felonies and be well known and you walk.

Damn he's as slick as the slim he's oozing out of his pie hole. Standing in front of the American flags running down our court systems as corrupt and prestigious against him. After they relaxed his bond and postponed the date of compliance .he should be grateful , he don't seem , after actions done.
