Rule I just invented: if you have ADHD and a big task you can't get done. Roll a twenty sided dice. The number you get is how much work you're going to get done on it today. 1 being almost nothing, but you have to try. And with 20 being HYPER FOCUS ENGAGE. Try it! (Averaging 10 will smash it)

I know some people are going through some stuff, but I had welder training today and as part of that we had to cut things with an angle grinder. So many sparks! And it smelled of my childhood - my dad built farm machinery and motorbikes.

Lambeth council planning denied permission for us to insulate the BACK of our brick house (where no one could see it) which would have allowed us to install a heatpump/cooling system. Not in keeping with the area apparently.

for now, the only good uses for voice recognition are searching for things on the TV and telling your car what to do. in the future though once computers can experience emotions like fear it will be useful for saying "If you ask if I want to upgrade to windows 11 again I will kill you"

Just before the pandemic a black cab ran a red light and killed my motorbike. I was fine! But it was done. The cabbie admitted total fault etc. Anyway. The attic clear out reminded me I had the panniers still and I just gave them away to a thrilled guy. Motorcyclists are good eggs.
