💯 I never assume people arent capable of doing bad things. I don't think enjoying art made by fallible humans makes us bad people, it means we try to make the world a better place so things like this are less likely to happen, and that's systemic, not just about cancelling guys when it happens.

I feel so weird whenever something like this comes up because like, yeah, what he did is NOT okay, but also people are so quick to jump into black and white thinking when someone has done something bad, and I don't think flattening a bad thing into 100% equivalency with a worse thing is helpful? 😮‍💨

The single greatest threat to sharks, by far, so much that there’s not really a number 2 threat, is unsustainable overfishing. The single most effective thing folks can do to help is don’t buy unsustainable seafood. Notice I didn’t say give up all seafood. Sustainable seafood is great.

If you’re looking for a Red State to find groups to work with- look at Texas. We were close to shifting purple in 2020. Organizers there are exhausted. Abortion and trans youth care in particular need help. We’re dropping doctors like flies.

I actually baked kids picking their own names into the culture of the "fantasy" world in my comic. They don't have genders and people choose their adult names at age 12 (which was really my clever way of letting them have silly names like "Ampersand" 🤭).

I've been out for 10+ years and I still don't know what I would pick - I go by "Gee" or G, the initial of my assigned first and middle names. My parents really thought they were cooking giving us all old lady names with double initials. 🙄
