The 14th Amendment says if you were involved in an insurrection you can't be president. SCOTUS said they won't allow anyone to enforce that because of reasons they made up. The Constitution doesn't say the president is immune from criminal law. SCOTUS decided he is because of reasons they made up.

Main purpose is a community center but lots of interesting prewar, wartime, and CW things here: maps, memorials, historical display cases with text, etc. Worth a look.

I don’t think the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 punditry and media could handle both high quality play AND tournament victory. Their worldview and gig are both hard wired into “🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 always shite because they play the wrong people in the wrong position and use wrong tactics.” Current reality: undefeated 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 preps for quarter final.

I pass on that one today, not a day for dispute. And he can’t fudge the “post national state”obscenity, we heard him loud and clear. We need a PM who actually likes Canada; all of it.

Some good arguments therein, to be sure. I’d like to see an obvious point not taken for granted: both the UK and many leading EU states must immediately and drastically increase their defence capabilities. More of everything needed: money, personnel, munitions, cyber, backbone and cojones.

I greatly enjoyed this exercise, choosing mine, seeing others choices. My thanks to whoever thought it up. Those of you who have published books but didn’t include one of your own: given the criteria was “that greatly influenced you,” I need to wonder why not? Writing my own books took over my life!

And this is the case everywhere. India is showing restraint in the Himalayan provocations. Taiwan doing the same around its area. Japan the same. PRC is the bully, the instigator, trying to provoke fights. Crude and obnoxious, but with a geopolitical agenda also. Containment is necessary.

Bloody marvelous finishing. That’s why at top level the superstars are the difference: those were two of England’s three shots on target (Rice hit a bar) but because they were taken by elite scorers England wins the match. Chances arebe bloody hard to come by, especially vs a team defending a lead.
