I am collecting ads from the Twitter site that shows ads for things I don't need/ want. The AutoGenerated Idiotic ones look bad. It bugs me that, probably like you, I know what I can do, do well, do badly. In my adult life I have been told to make changes and following instructions. 1/

Oooh, apart from the well made point you make, you have reminded me of John Hegley's poem about losing his glasses, but it being alright because he has a spare pair . . . so thank you.

Glasses prescription is -9.5. Can only see directly out the centre, so must move my head like an owl. W/o contacts I have nearly useless vision in the water & depth perception is a mess. I take his point. But contacts changed my life & I am not talking about aesthetics.

This is excellent, Roger, even by your standards! As Neal Adams once put it, "Your style is what you do wrong!"

Artificial Intelligence is us. It is an extensible part of our identity as a species. At some point we need to take stewardship, instead of trying to just scold and exclude AI from the conversation like a misbehaving child. The sooner, the better.

I’m going to remember this for my sketches and for when I’m grumbling internally about this or that aspect of them.

Are you referring to specific use cases or like AI in general? Because I feel it's a tool that can be used for many useful things. In my case, writing technical generic patient notes that only exist in the first place for insurance to dispute payments.

Well, like AI i have a lot of flaws and while contact lenses might hide my bad eyes (at cost of money and my eyes getting cross with me) All the other flaws gonna come out. Weird lighting, strange structures, fluctuations between anatomical wonk & uncanny valley "perfection" My eyes don't steal tho

The pacing for this is delightful, I met each point exactly when I was ready for it. I also love the specificity towards creative work as opposed to… okay, a lot of this is creative work, isn’t it? Maybe research is a useful task for AI.

Wow the contact lens thing makes me angry as someone with TERRIBLE vision who has always got much better correction with the lenses literally on top of my eyes—it’s also probably been more affordable for me than updating glasses when I need the most expensive lenses to function without nausea.
