Supreme court has really lived up to the arguments originally made against having the supreme court at the original amendment of the constitution to add the supreme court.

I wonder what a world where Democrats had consistently and continuously hammered SCOTUS on its obvious corruption over the past 3-4 years would look like. As is, they are able to operate in nakedly partisan ways without even facing sustained criticism because decorum trumps facts and outcomes.
EXACTLY! America has always been a Democratic Republic built on justice and the rule of law. It's not ruled by a king that is immune to the same laws all Americans must abide by. This case should have been rejected right out the gate.
Judge Chutkan's December 1, 2023 decision addresses all this stuff they're bickering about today, and persuasively answers that immunity doesn't apply in this case
They preface every question with "I'm not addressing the facts of this case, I'm just really worried about future presidents" and then end at "so I think the only thing that makes sense is ordering more proceedings in this case before the trial can move forward."
