Oops, that's how replying without clicking the link ends... Still, I think those issues are somewhat connected. "Nuclear anxiety" seems to be diminishing in Poland, in part thanks to the efforts to install power plants, so it's easier to talk about e.g. Nuclear Sharing program

At COP28 president Duda pledged to triple the number of nuclear power plants and many people ridiculed him that 3x0 is still 0. But there's a major drive towards building it — it's one of the few things the new (soon-to-be) ruling coalition seems to agree on and the public supports it

In general, I see the EC as rather toothless, but I hope that the 1.3 billion fine for Meta changed its attitude. Plus recently Musk has become overtly adversarial towards European politicians, accusing them of censorship and so on, so it's personal now

I was wondering why the OpenAI saga got so much media attention, even outside the US, and I think a major reason is that big tech companies are held in same regard as countries. This fight between the board and the CEO was analogous to a coup d’état, which is definitely front page worthy
