I just discovered that ChatGPT is terrible at the classic elementary school math game “24”. It looks like it can only get it right about half the time

need a Nordic murder show where the detective is named something like Knut Vibës- he drives a yellow Volvo P1900 and is called in to solve crimes that resist traditional investigation techniques by consulting elves and interpreting the Aurora Borealis

The Supreme Court just blew up four decades of precedent today, in a decision that will make it harder for executive agencies to protect the environment, public health, worker safety and more.

They’re speaking to their target audience, clearly. I also did this for a class final project ~2008ish

It does not, but it factored in policies on the books and to-be-anticipated-to-be-on-the-books as of ~2 years ago.

Making a climate policy that's also good for health can be challenging! If PA join's RGGI and a lot of electric vehicles are deployed in the Northeast US, this increases air pollution and health impacts in Ohio, West Virginia, and western Pennsylvania 🔌💡 🛟 iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1...

I am not super thrilled with Google Earth View's (little plugin for Google Earth backgrounds for Chrome) ability to periodically show me new and exciting locales where there's oil & gas production. Today it's Argentina.

What I want people to understand: failing to address methane offsets well means that companies could build "gray" h2 facilities (ngas, no CCS) with no physical connection to RNG, buy RNG "credits" for ~25% of their inputs for 10 years and get a massive subsidy, then go straight back to being gray.

Can any #climatechange #climatecrisis folks tell me why IPCC AR6 has lower GWP for non-fossil methane? It looks like they assume the CO2 byproduct is in the biological C cycle so doesn’t count?

I can't think of a single policy priority today that would more effectively address economic insecurity, inequality, and climate change all at once than a major effort to build more (and denser) housing in America.

… peak oil, water pollution, etc. I got into environmental health there and went to graduate school for it. I got back into climate during my masters through a combination of AR4 coming out and reading Six Degrees

I remember asking my parents about climate change when I was like 5, probably right after Hansen’s testimony to the US Congress. I went to college for environmental engineering and then switched to science and policy. Climate was “one of many” with air pollution, acid rain (still), recycling..
