When we moved to Albany in 2006 with three little kids, I lost the ability to commute by bike. I had no capacity for exercise until I picked up running in 2011.

A few common terms/expressions that derive from using horses as transportation: harnessed bridled deep seated steady hand rein in hot (as in volatile/nervy) long in the tooth (also gift horse expressions--if you look a gift horse in the mouth, you'll realize it's old)

It's really wild for someone my age to see reupped demand for broad recognition of pure disparate impact claims, but this time to benefit individual white applicants. Any win by a woman and/or an underrepresented minority candidate is suspect.

They're fine with their version of SOP. They just think they should have the power. I believe that Roberts takes it as an article of faith that if Trump wins, he will respect the Court and its decisions.

I need to develop this more systematically but I think a good way of understanding the Roberts Court is to think about the opinions and concurrence as purposively establishing incentive structures for other people/institutions.

I love how he scolds the dissenters for their hypotheticals but much of his opinion rests on his own projections of what a lawless president might do if former presidents' acts are open to sanction.
