Some hope that Nike will open-source the app so that customers can maintain their shoes' original and full functionality. But Nike hasn't shared any plans to do so.

They're even worse at rating whole countries because my spending is your income and they cannot get their heads around that. What do you mean, screwing the workforce is killing our customers? The magical customers that live on the moon and get their money from Mars, presumably.

They don't do any reading! Unless it's to work out what the people who pay them want them to say. It based on nothing but vibes and their pay cheques. Ridiculous way to run anything but that is the problem of power. Tough to solve.

Ratings agencies are an actual scam (the consumer stuff is just daft and bizarre). They're paid to rate their customers' products. If they did it properly there'd be other agencies offering grift and they'd go out of business.... cont'd

Whatever it is, we know it's not what LLMs do. They resemble human style thinking in an inevitable tendency to system-justify because so much of its absorbed content is system-justification.
But really, it's just this very old trick & people fooling themselves: softwarecrisis.dev/letters/llme...

LLMs don't know what the source materials mean. How can they judge whether they were used well.
Had this problem marking someone else's exam. "Award a point for each of these words". The student's had worked out if they scribble down every word they can think of they'll get top marks. 🙃

What this article leaves out is that if you hand your unlocked phone to a police officer, they can legally search it. Unless companies develop a method that allows you to show officers insurance cards and driver license without unlocking the rest of your phone, don't.
