I want to thank everyone that sent wishes my way, explicitly or implicitly, three weeks ago. I was briefly hospitalized and those wishes helped, a lot. I am out of the woods I was in at the time and I'm working hard to get healthy and stay that way. Eat soluble fiber, every day.

exactly. "Jailbreaking" a phone is breaking the security boundaries so you can run stuff on the device that you, the user, want, rather than authorized by the manufacturer. This isn't "jailbreaking". It's getting a stochastic speech engine to say things it's not supposed to

I've been on a liquid diet for a few weeks and, please, for the love of everything, USAns, eat something naughty this 4th of July. Eat your fiber, metamucil or olipop, to make sure your gut can take whatever, but for those of us not eating solids, be sure to enjoy yourself!

I kinda feel like now that the Supreme Court has declared it legal for a president to straight-up murder people they don't like, it's probably even more important to not elect people who seem extremely inclined to murder people they don't like

No one over the age of 40 should answer phone calls on their mobile phone; just too many scammers. Someone calling about an account breach or identity theft? Let them leave a message or hang up, call your bank, etc. using a known number

Third, the govt cannot get its way just by asserting an interest in better balancing the marketplace of ideas. In case after case, the Court has barred the government from forcing a private speaker to present views it wished to spurn in order to rejigger the expressive realm." 9/

Second, none of that changes just because a compiler includes most items and excludes just a few. It “is enough” for the compiler to exclude the handful of messages it most “disfavor(s).” 8/

Kids shouldn’t have to sit outside fast food restaurants to get the internet access they need to do their homework. Every library and school library should have Wi-Fi hotspots available for loan.

The Internet in the EU is in so much fucking danger and I cannot emphasize enough that what they’re calling “chat control” will undermine the privacy of everyone in Europe and everyone who communicates with someone in Europe. It won’t protect kids. Unforgivable violation of rights.
