The landmark reversal nullifies all previously lawful forms of right and makes it very difficult for Americans to make ethical decisions or be generally decent human beings without facing criminal charges.

You're right. This really does call for an address from the Oval Office, as it's the 2nd judicial change in the structure of our government in a week's time. Overturning Chevron, though radical & alarming, is a small hill compared to the mountain that is crowning presidents as Kings and Queens.

Hi, Sharks! My name is Donald Trump and I'm seeking $450MM for a 2% stake in my company, The Trump Organization, as well as looking for help engaging someone to run it for the next few years. Also, I'm seeking $83MM for a 2% stake in my new business, "Serial Defamation," a fun

I love that everyone has a job-related title except Jack Begley. He is us. Just Jack asking or stating the obvious. I got dragged into this "Could it be?" thing kicking and screaming, but ultimately got hooked on how kind, good-natured and cooperative everyone is. That's the real treasure.

I'll see your Mary Poppins, and raise you a West Side Story, unless drive-in theaters count, in which case The Seven Little Foys (although I probably fell asleep in the back seat before it was over).

Ha! The Paisley Convertible! Saw that, although can't remember if I was expecting Sam Waterston but saw Bill Bixby, or was expecting Bill Bixby but saw Sam Waterston. Either way, I'm really feelin' the "Not too many of us left who saw that" feeling a lot more these days.

And how she and Cook rip my heart out with the assistance of Don Walker's strings on "(How I could have used) one long revealing letter." 60 years on, and still goose bumps at that moment.

I think I heard about that production -- the one where the director interpolated "They All Deserve to Die" just after "Yes My Heart".

Saw a very young Liza in Carnival(!) at Yonkers Playhouse. She was, of course, terrific, but not knowing I was seeing an icon-in-the-making I kind of wished I'd seen Alberghetti. But now that I'm here, as Harry the Horse said, I still wish it!

Do you remember Sandy Becker's "Big Professor"? I think if you stumped him, you got $5. I only ever saw that happen once, and the question was "How do you spell 'too/two/to' in the sentence 'There are three kinds of ____?"

The Examiner's generally not a source for objective info, but I've known Charles Small about 20 years & he may be the world's foremost academic expert on both historical and contemporary anti-Semitism. IMO, this is a must-read for college adminstrators. www.washingtonexaminer.com/restoring-am...

Story tellers! A friend once asked me how I could stand to read a play and I was genuinely baffled. For a while as a kid that was pretty much all I wanted to read.

Never saw Camelot but read it in hard cover at the Central Jr High School library (Gwch CT) during summer school in the 60s. Just lost it at the end when Arthur knights Tom and gives him the mission of telling the story. Later read Hamlet's "draw thy breath in pain" & lost it again. Then "Hamilton".

Jon, are you able to point me to any of those songs? I'd love to hear them (preferably with someone other than Noel Coward singing, as nothing seems to drain cleverness from a song as much as a singer proclaiming wittiness).

Saw a BBC Symphony Orch. concert version of that in London in 2000 because, if I remember right, it was the only live theatre event in town that Sunday & we were flying back home next day. Really enjoyed it, although I remember nothing else about it.

Always saw him as an endearing and better than adequate utility player since I first saw him in Tovarich as a kid, but then came She Loves Me at Paper Mill and I was knocked out by the depth of his Maraczeck. Wish I'd seen more of him!

So lovely. Saw one of the first matinees in '64. Glad this was ultimately sung and recorded - it's chariming in that uniquely Bock/Harnick way. Meanwhile, it's clear I will just never understand how time works.

Admire Baez personally, but that version was like sandpaper on my eardrums. Get a damn lyric sheet if you're gonna cover a well-known tune! Or better yet, if you can't do it better, just don't do it!

Me: Hi. I'm Joel. I'm a commaholic.
Copy Editors: Hi, Joel.
In 1978 working on a couple of legal volumes I would drive my co-author crazy with the number of commas I used. Returning the favor, he drove me crazy by using the the word "utilize" instead of "use." It all seems fair now.
