Just explained to my daughter that 14yrs ago the Tories took office, immediately stopped public spending and instead funnelled it all to their mates, and nothing else happened except deception and culture wars. We now have a government who will actually govern. It’s that simple.

In addition, I find it more than a little disturbing that Sunak rightly condemned the racism amongst Reform members and supporters, but then failed to address the equally alarming homophobia, instead choosing to call out misogyny, which while abhorrent, wasn’t on display.

Whilst I sympathise with the PM with regards to the racial slur used against him, I can’t help thinking that maybe if his party hadn’t endorsed a racist as PM and then weaponised racism and xenophobia, perhaps the use of racist language wouldn’t be seen as fucking acceptable 🤬
