in the mid-90s it was perfectly normal for 11-year-olds to walk around wearing t-shirts that said stuff like "YO! /webSTRs /ˈdikSHəˌnerē/ SAYS the /:definition/ of YOU is to SHUT UP!" i don't think anything going on today is much weirder than that
But i also had an insanely wonderful Pinky and the Brain t-shirt from that time with Brain being electrocuted and Pinky throwing the switch. That makes up for any and all 90s t-shirt embarassment. I saved us
Also I feel like Juicy was a 90s thing but I suppose the Juicy ass track pants didn't catch on till around the turn of the century.
Idk I wasn't impressed by 13 year olds wandering around in public in pink pants or shorts with Juicy emblazoned on their asses.
I can't think of any fashion trend today that even comes close to the popularity of Big Johnson shirts, which twice made INC magazine's list of American's fastest-growing companies
I saw one today which I have seen many times in this same shop window but never really thought hard about and but it really clicked in my head as incredibly sad and reflective of the current time:
“I only like my dog and like 3 people”
