NEW: Trump sentencing likely delayed. Manhattan DA's office says it would not oppose a brief delay to brief issues surrounding immunity decision. (via Frank G. Runyeon, Law360)
Don't worry about this, friends! Nothing is likely to change—it's just customary to allow briefing on new issues. No doubt the Trump team will raise this issue on appeal, but my first impression is that it's very unlikely to succeed
tho only a two week delay, and implying fairly strongly they do not accept the argument the case is relevant, even if they are willing to provide time for everyone to think about it carefully.
Couldn't the DA have said that this was a matter for the appeals court? Who are they trying to win over, the people that think all of Trump's indictments are Soviet show trials?
Makes sense, if they didn't consider it now it would delay things more because an appeals court would probably say they at least needed to look at it.
But it's all relating to his business and campaign for president, clearly not presidential acts so the verdict should stand.
Guys don’t worry. He’ll play a good game of golf with Biden and they’ll talk about their disabilities together. Of course, none of it from the right side will be true and trump wont even attend
People keep telling everyone there is nothing to worry about when the shit yesterday didn't just happen and unprecedented events are like tap water at this point. I reserve no optimism for him finding any sense of due justice at this point.
