We don't get much for those $$. At the population level the US is far behind other countries on chronic disease management. Allowing insurance companies to siphon billions off the top that could go to providing care for all to provide "administrative" services Medicare does for 5% is also a problem

Better than Canada, where your mom gets terminal cancer and has nothing but praise for the healthcare she receives, and has her life extended by a couple of years with miracle drugs costing $1000s a month, that the healthcare system pays for. My 90+ grandfather was also really well taken care of.
