Third place! At least 5 goals for kid. Great result and minimal character built.

It is hard not to be the designated sport parent when kid’s team is (finally) not having a character building tournament.

This is one of the most dystopian signs I've ever seen. Republicans are quickly turning this country into an unrecognizable freakshow.

Companies decided to sink billions of dollars of new investment into manufacturing plants in the U.S. after the CHIPS and Inflation Reduction Act boosted incentives for U.S. production, Check out that spike in manufacturing plant construction. It dwarfs all prior increases. 📉📈 #️⃣#️⃣

I love my PHEV, electric covers my commute, gas for anything longer. I wish it had just a bit more battery range, but it is working great as a transition.

Most questions where you are seeking an answer are search questions. Are you saying it shouldn’t be used to answer questions at all?

The nearest one to me locks up the giant economy size $9 bottles of lotion, right next to the open shelves of $30/ounce face creams.

Holy moley. I have a song like this from college! It was on a cassette of “hits” (commercial not a mixtape) and I have NEVER been able to find any trace of it. My dorm mate who owned it has zero recollection of the tape or the song.

We luckily have a tiny independent market in the neighborhood that has a deli, great produce, small & interesting selection of groceries and beer/wine. (It is not fancy at all, however it is a treasure).

There isn’t one close because they have to have the real estate to have ALL the stuff (like Walmart), can’t just be a grocery store. Kroger infuriates me, but they do have small ones in neighborhoods.

Right?!? I’m not crazy about Meijer, but they do have lots of very sturdy small carts.

Kroger cart decisions baffle me. I complained that they never have the little carts (I hate using the giant ones for 7 items) and was told “people like the small ones too much and they wear out faster, so we got rid of them”

Arthur Miller would agree. Say what you will about choosing a drama set in the 40’s that ends with a bang, for high schoolers, but my kid’s spring play was incredibly timely. (All My Sons)

The fight over the -ium ending makes me smile whenever I think of it. Also issue of element 41 is delightful to me. Columbium vs Niobium. My specific subsection of the steel industry still likes to use Columbium. I embrace the old ways.

If your game is that good I’ll play it again in a harder mode. Or switch to hard part way through once I feel like I get it. Or if I put it down for a while, I’ll start out easy until I remember the controls. Making me die, repeatedly, because I can’t kill cave wolves is just bad gaming (for me)

Absolutely. I’m just saying easy mode (&ice cream) isn’t a temptation or failing for me. It is a positive, joyful choice. As much as I love hollow knight, there are boss fights I will never win. And From Soft? They decided they don’t want me as a customer/player. (I tried)

Easy mode, like ice cream, is not a temptation. It is fantastic choice to increase happiness. No guilt, just joy.

The people moving to MT (for the most part) are hard right “I’m going to live my Yellowstone dream” and I have the money to price out the locals. The shitty gov is one of those people. MT esp. the bumpy side has not always been red.

Plan your pit stops around ice cream. We drove 20 hours one spring break and planned every stop around whatever Dairy Queen was closest to needing gas. Had snacks and food with actual nutritional value in the car, just in case the DQ wasn’t a grill&chill.

Which part? The travel itself or destination. Ice cream (or non-dairy equivalent) is the primary answer to both, but there are lots of more specific advice I could give.

I’ve heard nothing but good things of Sanderson, but I worked at a bookstore in the early 2000’s and the Jordan signing convinced me to never read another word he wrote. He was incredibly disrespectful to fans in person. I wtched him be horrible to people who loved his work.

Yahoo messenger was the first to have video (no sound) that worked across Mac, PC and oceans (pre-Skype) one of the reasons my long distance relationship worked out was because we could look at each other and type for a bit each day while we were in grad school 4000 miles apart.

My dad was a milk man in the 80’s. When frozen yogurt first came on the scene (pre-TCBY) it was not soft serve, too hard to scoop so it was individually packaged in these cool double wedge cardboard thingies. you ripped one edge off and could push the yogurt up to eat it. Man I miss those.

It is in the intermountain west. Missoula,MT used to have several different drive through burger joints that sold by the bag. My parents would never let us get them when we were there. One was straight up named Bag O’Burgers.
