Should we also raise the specter of how much energy the ad and news videos on apparently every single website use? They bombard us continually and make it hard to read anything they’re so distracting, but worse, they literally are negatively impacting our climate in real ways.

This is why I don't buy austerity socialism. We would have more than enough to maintain decent modern living conditions for everyone if we just got rid of dumb bullshit nobody needs (crypto, AI, private jets, imperialist armies, megamansions, golf courses, water features. etc.)
