Amazon's One Care triages all patient phone calls through a call center staffed with people with no medical training or experience, and who have two weeks' training total. Patients have died.
Amazon being world class at supply chain efficiency is exactly why it should not be in any way part of healthcare. Frugality and automation are the last things I want in my healthcare.
In retrospect, trusting the company that tells its employees to pee in bottles and encourages them to throw packages at each other with our medical health was shortsighted.
BlueCross NC now uses Amazon as their mail order pharmacy. Every prescription comes in the SAME LOOKING BOTTLE and they are trying to get me to refill meds I've archived cause I haven't taken them for a YEAR. They're gonna kill somebody
My regular healthcare takes months for an appointment, I presume patients have died from that, as well.
One takes your membership money and gives it to Jeff Bezos to help you jump the queue in get in a month earlier or somesuch.
As someone who's worked in customer service with amazon, this tracks pretty hard. Youd get a call from someone in an int. call center transfer someone mad already to verify stuff they already told the rep. Whole system was dumb af.
