Classic American political dialogue is premised on the idea that we share fundamental values but disagree on how best to promote them. I haven’t believed this for a while. Other than “I prefer to be alive and not dead” and “I like pudding,” I do not share values with these people.

I keep coming back to "all this for literally Donald Trump," but it fits. There's not some more competent aspiring autocrat who'd somehow "earn" or "win" this. I’m just so pleased that the court decided homeless people can be arrested for existing, the government cannot govern, and the president cannot be prosecuted for committing crimes, all in the same week. Blitzkrieg doesn’t begin to cover what has happened to the rule of law.
