Hi! Thanks for doing a share! My name is Maggie and I just really like painting the world around me. Usually oil. Sometimes gouache or watercolor. My favorite food is whatever doesn't bother my stomach.

I painted this last year from a picture a friend of mine took of me at Rialto Beach on the Washington Coast around 2017. It's easily one of the most beautiful places on earth and honestly scary when you look at all the huge driftwood logs thrown up far onto the beach.
It's 8x8 oil on canvas

I can't believe we, as a species, invented bread and cheese - two things that require multiple, complicated steps as well as microbe husbandry - and this is the best political system we've got

I wonder if we could ever try the realpage ceo and board for crimes against humanity since so many people were made homeless by their tactics and how many people die from the effects of being homeless.

*thinking about the time my dad screamed at me as a 4 year old for walking weird and wearing my shoes out weirdly and then I spent a bunch of time learning to "walk normal" and felt slighted that he didn't even notice that I got better

I had sinus infections constantly. Constantly on antibiotics. Constantly miserable. Finally just got an allergy test at 36 years old and found out I have a severe dustmite allergy and now getting shots.
I'm so mad I suffered my whole life with this shit.

I would probably make even more art since i'd be less stressed about whether it would be something saleable vs just something i enjoy making.

Wow. A restaurant in Chicago OβHare, one of the biggest airports in the world, banned an infectious disease doctor from entering because they were wearing a mask. This is unacceptable.

All the legal attempts to ban masking for the pandemic at state levels are inextricable from the reality that we live in a time when the state is choosing a heightened fascist response to protest. They are all equally intended to be deployed against dissenters, as well as to target people of color.

Forever frustrated that when my local kaiser had the "always mask in this facility" sign up it was nearly 100% compliance and now that its gone, people are like wet hacking and sick with no masks and its down to like 1/3rd of the providers masking. Just stop changing the rules. always mask at dr.
