There's one thing I like about Kavanaugh: whereas Alito and Thomas spend all their time in protective billionaire cocoons, Kavanaugh still thinks he should be accepted and respected in suburban DC social life, and I know from his neighbors that he absolutely is not and he is acutely aware of that. 🥰

Thing is, he's always been a partisan Republican legal fixer, but he seems to think that his appointment to SCOTUS means he is a widely respected legal mind.
Uh… Brown v Board was unpopular because of rampant racism. Does he think women are going to look at Dobbs years from now and say, “Boy, I’m so glad my rights to bodily autonomy were stripped away! I don’t know what I was thinking!”?
If he thinks it's bad now, I think in a few years it's going to deteriorate even more. All of these clowns will be persona non grata. Could even come back to bite Nikki.
I am more and more convinced that having that much unelected power should require all of them to live in a stasis pool like Minority Report. At the very least, an imposed monastic life so spartan it would make an ascetic blush.
Of all the justices, Kav is the one I could imagine actually doing a public rage quit if sufficient shunning were applied. Will we get there? I can only hope.
