We're supposed to pretend this situation is complicated but it's really not. Both of these guys have inexcusably killed/hurt a bunch of civilians while their deputies repeatedly make public statements confirming the goal is to commit crimes against civilians. That should be prosecuted.

The biggest shocker is that Hamas leaders agree to be arrested and go to court alongside Israel, only for Israel's Netanyahu and his loyalists alongside Biden to refuse and deny them the ability to go forward with the arrests. It really speaks mounds about the situation and conflict to be honest.

The complexity comes with recognizing that all of these people are products of a broader system, namely Israeli colonialism, and while it's good to prosecute those who have violated international law, prosecuting them without addressing the underlying system will only lead to repeats of this.

Netanyahu is a murderer, a liar and a propagandist, a thousand times worse than Hamas. This mass murderer deserves to be imprisoned for the rest of his life. Israel is not the victim: it is the illegal occupier, oppressor, assaillant and land-grabber for decades. Hamas was not created in a vacuum.

Worth pointing out as well, to people who will say this is both-sidsing, that only the guy they don't like / not from their team should be prosecuted; that the ICC prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned both the Serbian AND Croat Presidents for their part in genocidal ethnic cleansing in Yugoslavia.
