The layoffs officially occurred today, hence the crying. Had some major survivor’s guilt, even with my personal bs going on. I knew that nobody would be able to say goodbye in person but that doesn’t negate the eerie feeling of reading goodbye messages on Teams and seeing ppl abruptly log off.

I’m noticing many immigrants are gently reminding their fellow Americans that no country is 100% safe from government corruption and fascism. This shit is infectious and there is no country without its problems. And not everyone can just pick up and move to a new state or country.
