If you want to cast a protest vote against Biden you are welcome to, but I do think we should wrestle with the reality that doing so increases the odds that Trump will have an opportunity to appoint about 240 more far-right judges who will strike down every policy you care about.
...and let Thomas and Alito retire to be replaced by Trump with young idealogues who will hold down those seats for the next 30+ years.
Whereas under Biden + Dem Senate they're old enough that they might just die naturally offering the opportunity to flip the SC (and allow Sotomayor to retire).
The protest voters performatively care about other people but actually don't. They believe that they will somehow be immune to the consequences of their decision. Could be because they're rich and white, could be because they think they already have it as bad as it can get, who knows.
There may be no Palestinians left to care about by the time Trump could win. Does anyone give a flying fuck? Would you tell a Palestinian who wouldn't vote for the man who bankrolled the exploding of his family that his refusal of support was selfish?
I was born in 1955 when Black Americans were still 2nd class citizens. Things changed greatly during my lifetime but that doesn't mean they can't change back. The current SOTUS has shown that rights can be taken away. I pray people think about this when they decide about voting.
