It’s like the search engines have literally become blind to certain terms that don’t match what the SEO wants to sell me. Utter failure of contextual meaning or nuance. I first got onto the web in 1994- today’s search engines have become worse than the crudest available search options back then.

I asked Google and Bing both first for examples to help me format a spreadsheet to build an article index for a collection of magazines. Page after page of results, every single answer literally was how to format an article for publication in a magazine. All of it paywalled of course.

All of it misses that if your mind organizes and patterns information differently than the author's, it becomes nearly impossible to win.
