I mean, the one thing I would say is that polling in 2016 and 2020 all underrated the support for Trump, as for everything else, I don't know. I still think that waving off the real concerns of folks not in the party, or pundit class of perceived ability isn't great. But I don't know. Who knows.

I mean, you have members of your own party saying that they don't know if you can campaign. There are a ton of sound bites that can be played over and over, tons of clips. If it hadn't been like it was we wouldn't be talking about it still. There is fundamental doubt that he can campaign as needed.

It's the same thing with the whole "no tax on tips" thing. It allows employers to make more people tip based employees, thus paying them less. In my most cynical thought, it helps create a permanent underclass of servants who rely on the "generosity" of those they serve.

I was in a much different political mindset back then, but starting to drift from my young neo-con boy views, I think I voted for Rand in the primary? I went to all the rallies I could, didn't get into a Trump one, but even outside of it, it felt just, dark. Something was wrong. So yeah.

I definitely agree, but I am just worried about it. It seems like there is so much trepidation from Democrats to take a stand against what they are panicking about, and with Republicans seemingly gloating and poll numbers keep moving... Just, I'm very damn worried.
