Sometimes I feel about democracy the way folks in my replies talk about climate...if they aren't working on it directly, they feel powerless/hopeless. The only reason I feel decent about climate is because I work on it w other people who care. Guessing that might work for other important stuff too.

It's likely due to reading, your eyes try to develop to keep everything in focus but when you read the periphery is blurry. The eye tries to compensate for that as it develops and you end up with nearsightedness

Window units are quieter and more efficient. There are new u shaped ones that will give you most of your window back. We just switched to mini splits though and they are amazing!

If a sane person was in charge of Tesla the play should have been to become a battery and maybe motor supplier to the big guys and go all in on the charging network. Now that Tesla is opening up the charging network maybe that is happening but it seems a few years later than ideal
