Yeah if you can eat enough food to gain muscle, you should do that. Protein powder should just be viewed as an easy food to prepare for people like me who suck at actually eating and need to eat like a foie gras goose to gain weight LOL

Protein deficiency is only a problem in people who are quite literally starving, but everyone talks about how they need to make sure they eat plenty of protein. It's not something you necessarily have to seek out as long as you're eating enough food to not starve.

You don't necessarily need to like or eat the stereotypical vegan protein sources like tofu, tempeh, and seitan. You could get plenty of protein from say, a bean burrito or some red beans and rice. Also there's kind of a health craze about protein rn that goes a bit overboard. (cont'd)

It doesn't feel like I've given up anything. I can still eat hamburgers, pizza, and ice cream. There are vegan versions of all of those. I've tried a bunch of new foods I never otherwise would have: tofu scramble, tempeh, a bunch of Indian food, and more! If you're interested in going vegan DM me!

People think you have to be super mentally tough to go vegan but then you do it and you're like "oh, that wasn't so bad." You think it's gonna feel like a huge sacrifice, but then you pretty quickly get new comfort foods or enjoy the vegan substitutes for your old comfort foods.
