FUCK American Airlines. I almost missed my sister's wedding because my connecting flight left EARLY despite having been informed that multiple passengers were inbound. I had to sleep in the deserted Philly airport alone. I will become a ghost when I die specifically to continue holding a grudge

This is style dependent, yes? Chicago tells us to just spell the names out (agree!) but "prefers the two-letter postal codes to the conventional abbreviations" (10.27). APA tells us not to use periods in "abbreviations of state...names," giving NY and CA as examples. I know AP uses Va., W.Va., etc.
