nobody even wants the stretch goal doodads if they didn't back at the "give me a bunch of extra shit" level!!! I hate it when I back the "one book please" level and then I have to wait a YEAR or more while the sticker production and unnecessary colorizing gets sorted out.

honestly the black and white for gore is so good, because it leaves some of exactly how bad everything is just a bit to the imagination. like, some of that is blood, some is shadows, but it's extra impactful together

seconding Torrid, but Kohls is also ok. I do end up looking like a substitute teacher if I shop at Lane Bryant or Catherine's, but my work wear tends to be a black shift dress with black bike shorts and a wide belt for structure, so, I've had good luck at Nordstrom Rack too.

yeah that series point was that "whole language" works for kids who already know how to read, (presumably because they learned at home) and so phonics catches all the kids who aren't learning to read from their folks or tutor at home.
