I do captioning for a living, & a big part of my job is cleaning up false starts & filler words. That has always been the norm at every media outlet. Print media edits Trump so carefully that you would never know what he actually sounds like. Doing this to Biden is a 180 from decades of policy.

I kinda hate the word because it feels like it's not enough, but I can't be cruel to a person who was trying hard to be a good example. He was on the picketlines for the what strike trying to get the word out there, he's been vocal on things I believe in...like, it's very hard to work it all out.

Like many other comic fans, I'm pretty disappointed in Gaiman. I don't have a lot to add to that thought, tbh, but felt obligated to say something. I have a lot of sympathy for the women that came forward. The whole thing just kind of stings, so I wanna sit with it for a bit.

I don't take the age thing seriously. THEY PICK A LIE ABOUT EVERY DEM, and the press knows it's some BS but plays along. They know that the other guy is worse in every way, especially his brain. They turned being a war hero into a liability against a fortunate son draft dodger.

Trump’s public schedule showed that on most days, he worked (“worked”), like three hours a day. And this isn’t even a “Biden can’t work late at night” issue. It’s a Biden is pulling back on SCHEDULED EVENTS that start after 8pm, which is actually a good idea for most people.

I have no faith in this coming to pass, but Tory ex-MPs should be completely rejected from light entertainment/reality shows, etc. No Strictly. No Jungle. No rehabilitation. None. They won't see real consequences for the death and suffering they've caused, so this should be the bare minimum.

Here in Ontario, they built the 407 highway with public funds, the 90s PC party sold it off. MADE ZERO SENSE. It's a toll road that makes billions, could have been a cash cow forever. As it stands, the current PC party just gave up collecting 1 Billion owed from the 407 because... reasons?

I need to write the whole piece about this, but the thing to understand is that the NYT is now just Facebook. The platform dictates narrative to normies, is totally gamed by the right, and is still so ubiquitous as to be unavoidable even by those who see how broken it is. It's just Facebook.

In Newfoundland there was talk of privatizing the NL Liquor Corporation. The fact it turns a profit was listed as a good reason to privatize it, as that'd make it attractive to investors... When your stated goal is to save money + first plan is to sell the dept that pays for itself, the mask is off.

Oh, and the LCBO gets deal because it's literally the largest liquor buyer in the world. Break it up and we don't get those deals. Costs to consumers go up, not down.
