One of the organizers then goes on to provide medical advice in the comments, including discouraging women from taking low-dose ASA for preeclampsia prevention. Low-dose ASA is THE ONLY evidence-based prevention strategy for preeclampsia currently

They go on to explain the “Brewer emergency protocol” which consists of eating protein-rich foods, restricting fluid intake, and increasing salt. Nice that they add a little disclaimer at the end to “seek medical advice when needed”

They choose to explain the etiology of preeclampsia using outdated & thoroughly debunked theories, including Dr. Brewer’s dietary hypothesis (from the 1950s/60s) No, preeclampsia is NOT caused by malnutrition/protein deficiency! Preeclampsia is caused by THE PLACENTA
