Tonight's interview wasn't a gaffe, but it sure wasn't good

Even if the interview had been great, would it have been watched by or move the needle for low-information voters who literally think we’re in a recession? Their vote counts just as much as us hyper-engaged folks. I don’t think we win by scolding them with “all is well, and you’re bad for asking.”

He was great. Confident, well spoken, knowledgeable. There were a couple things I wish he said, but it honestly couldn’t have gone much better.

But he'll give it his best shot and in the end that's what's important.

Cognitive judgement — in my long life observing, listening and studying successful politics and good governance — has been displaced by individual emotive reaction. Likely always has been. You could very well be correct. That is until the moment citizen voters who make the difference vote. Or not.

Aside from people like Tom, Jennifer Rubin and a few more, the atrocious politico-media complex is NEVER going to stop focusing on the Biden is old approach, and let Trump go scot free. He needed a grand slam to even slightly dent it and that didn’t happen.

The dem that needs to be put front and center is Kamala. She should be visible, at meetings, and campaign w him. Make visible speeches about democracy so the idiotic morons who can’t decide can see he has credible back up

Calling something that is not a major gaffe a major gaffe is irresponsible. I cancelled my sub to The Atlantic, and the fact that it's gone in boots and all with the Dump Biden frenzy is the reason why.

I guess...if he's more or less killing it at his day job and running a tight ship, to me that's evidence enough of his competence to convince me that everything else is just superficial or personality quirks (or short-term illness, as the case may be).

Based on what? The fact that he was...exactly how he's always been? A bit rambly, stumbled over a few words, and testy with idiotic questions? If your expectation was that he had to be Barack Obama, that's a "heads I win tails you lose" scenario.
