Modern vast media: broadcast/cable/fiber optic/satellite TV, press, talk radio, podcasts, streaming video, a variety of apps targeting viewers and listeners; “target” can be capture. In our low information/no information voting population, there’s little cognitive judgment, more emotive decision.

Cognitive judgement — in my long life observing, listening and studying successful politics and good governance — has been displaced by individual emotive reaction. Likely always has been. You could very well be correct. That is until the moment citizen voters who make the difference vote. Or not.

The 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law included funds to elevate 19 single-family homes in the Florida Keys. I love the Keys, but the cruel math says that our limited adaptation dollars are better spent elsewhere.

I do captioning for a living, & a big part of my job is cleaning up false starts & filler words. That has always been the norm at every media outlet. Print media edits Trump so carefully that you would never know what he actually sounds like. Doing this to Biden is a 180 from decades of policy.

I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of “Biden Old” and “Rich Dems Worried” above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. Crazy-making shit.
