Agreed on needing to protect the vulnerable, but blindly relying on the market to do that, with its focus on profit and shareholder value, only leads to a situation where if you can't pay, you die. Progressive taxation & a concept of value beyond money would be a good place to start

Yes, the Tories have been privatising for years, as the Blair government did before them (with PFI), which the Major government instituted in the 90s. The problem with Streeting is that he appears to think this approach is the natural state of things, rather than look for less damaging alternatives
